First Aid & Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation

What is First Aid?

First Aid is the methods and techniques applied to non-life threatening incidents. The aim is to reduce the suffering of the victim and to maintain a constant trauma, excluding possible to be widening.

What is the Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)?

The Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) is a technique based on Chest Compressions and Rescue Breaths. We perform CPR whenever we want to resuscitate a victim who has no breath while in the same time, we keep the victim’s brain oxygenated. It is also known as “The Kiss of Life”.

What is Basic Life Support (BLS)?

Basic Life Support is a set of technical applications for the treatment of life-threatening incidents. The life-threatening incidents are those which lead to Cardio respiratory Pause. In all technical applications for Basic Life Support (BLS), including the Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).

What is an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)?

The Automated External Defibrillator (AED) is a portable advanced technology device, which is based on a microprocessor. It has sensors for the Identification of the heart pulse, and if it does not recognize any signs of life, provides electricity through two stickers electrodes straight to the heart muscle. The Automated External Defibrillator (AEA) was constructed to deal with the heart oppositions, particularly the phenomenon of ventricular fibrillation. The AED device is safe for everybody and anyone can get trained how to use it in case of an emergency without any legal restriction. The Automated External Defibrillator (AED) training is usually combined with a Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) training program.

Are First Aid providing techniques the same for all age groups (adult, child, infant)?

The First Aid techniques vary with the age of the victim, but some of them remain the same. For example, the Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) performance on an adult varies from a child CPR or a baby CPR. However, a fracture bandaging technique remains the same for an adult and child as well.

How can I be able to apply all this on a child or on an infant?

Participating in Rescue Training International First Aid Seminars, you will be trained in the emergency medical treatment for children and infants. At the same time you will be trained in the Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and in the Automated External Defibrillator (AED) addressed to children and infants.
