First Aid at Work Instructor Qualification Course
Rescue Training International (RTI) First Aid at Work (Great Britain) courses comply with the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) directions in order to meet the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981.
This program meets the statutory needs of employers in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland needing at least one First Aider on the premises.
Further more, according to the Cyprus (05/15/2009) and the Greek (28/05/2010) legislation, the employer shall undertake the obligation to provide his employees with a valid first aid training.
According to the legislation, the first aid training in the workplace is provided exclusively by accredited training providers or certified first aid instructors under the auspices of approved organizations.
First Aid at Work Instructor
Rescue Training International first aid at work instructor training program is independent training and certification processes so that both instructors interested without prior experience or already certified instructors, have the opportunity to teach approved first aid programs in the workplaces.
During the FAW Instructor training, candidates compiled into sessions such as: Legislation – obligations of employers and workers, good presence of the instructor in the class, trainees group management, methods of presentation and demonstration of first aid objects, teaching and course evaluation , use of materials and training mannequins.
Is also provided specific training on conducting examinations of participants, the methods of written and practical tests for evaluating the learners, and the use of management and application forms used in the Rescue Training International system.
Upon successful completion of the theoretical, practical and written examination, instructor candidates will receive a certificate as well as the authorization to teach and assess the following approved training programs:
- First Aid at Work (18 hours)
- Emergency First Aid at Work (6hr)

- CD (Instructor Toolkit) with auxiliary files and organizing forms in English and Greek

The course duration is 26 hours excluding the 2 hours examination.
Prerequisites to enroll in the RTI FAW Instructor Course
- Age over 18 years
- Current RTI First Aid at Work Certificate (18 hours)
Holders of an equal certificate of other organizations are also eligible to enroll in this course. However, they should complete an evaluation questionnaire plus to demonstrate 3 required first skills.
