Emergency First Aid at Work GR+ (EFAW GR+)

Course Overview

The “Emergency First Aid at Work (+) – GR” program fully complies with the requirements of Law 5239/2025, Article 39 (Occupational Health & Safety) and is the most suitable option for companies that need to train the largest possible percentage of their employees within a short period of time, equipping their workforce with life-saving knowledge and skills.

It combines Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training with the use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).

Participants in the program are trained to respond immediately to a cardiac arrest incident and become an active link in the chain of survival, while also being able to use an Automated External Defibrillator.

The training is completed in 1 day and the total duration of the program is 5 hours.

Participants who successfully complete the program receive the “RTI Emergency First Aid at Work (+) – GR” certification, valid for three (3) years.

Learning Pathways

Fully in-person training (theoretical and practical components).

Target Audience

According to Law 5239/2025, Article 39, case δβ), every company employing more than fifty (50) employees at a single facility must provide, through courses delivered by certified first aid training providers, training in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and choking management (Heimlich manoeuvre) to half of the employees at the facility every three (3) years.

Current legislation on First Aid at Work.
Introduction to First Aid.
Role of the first aider.
Principles of personal hygiene and protection when providing first aid in the workplace.
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation.
Choking management (Heimlich manoeuvre).
Cardiac Arrest.
Operation of the Automated External Defibrillator.
Use of an Automated External Defibrillator.
Unconscious casualty.
