First Aid at Work UK (FAW UK)

Course Overview

The “First Aid at Work” program is suitable for training personnel in businesses with a large number of employees and a high risk index.

The training is completed in 3 days while the total duration of the program is 18 hours.

The final assessment includes a theoretical and practical exam conducted by an independent examiner from Rescue Training International.

Those who pass the exam receive a Certificate of Knowledge Confirmation from Rescue Training International, entitled “First Aid at Work” with a validity of three (3) years.

Learning Pathways

1. Fully in-person training (theoretical and practical components).
Upon successful completion and examination, you will directly receive the internationally recognized RTI certification.

2. Distance learning (completion of the theoretical component) and online assessment.
You will receive a digital distance learning certificate. Within 1 year, you can complete the practical component of your program with a certified RTI Instructor and obtain the internationally recognized Rescue Training International certification.

Target Audience

According to the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) guidelines under the Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations 1981, every workplace must have at least one trained first aider.

Training Modules

The following topics and skills are taught:

Understanding of current legislation on first aid.
Understanding the role of the first aider.
Understanding the use of first aid equipment provided in the workplace.
Understanding the basic principles of personal hygiene and protection when providing first aid in the workplace.
Description and recording of the incident.
