First Aid at Work CY (FAW CY)

The “First Aid at Work” program is suitable for training personnel in businesses with a large number of employees and a relatively high risk index.

The training is completed in 3 days while the total duration of the program is 18 hours.

1. Fully physical presence (theoretical and practical part).
Upon successful completion and examination, you directly receive the internationally recognized RTI certification.

2. Distance learning (completion of the theoretical part) and electronic assessment.
You receive an electronic distance training certificate. Within 1 year you can complete the practical part of your program with a certified RTI instructor and obtain the international Rescue Training International certification.

Under the 2009 (Safety and Health at Work) Regulations, it is mandatory for first aiders to be trained in First Aid at Work and to hold a valid certificate from an Approved First Aid Training Provider.

The following topics and skills are taught:

• Understanding of current legislation on first aid.
• Understanding the role of first assistant.
• Understand the use of first aid equipment provided in the workplace.
• Understand the basic principles of hygiene and personal protection in the process of providing first aid at work.
• Description and recording of the incident.

Provide safe, direct and effective action by following rules for safe approach and procedures in the following cases:

• Bleeding
• Burns
