Workplace First Aid
The Rescue Training International (RTI) Workplace First Aid Training Programs are fully aligned with the European Guidelines for First Aid Training in the workplaces.
They have been officially approved and recognized as follows:
- Ministry of Health / Central Health Council (CHC.) – Greece.
- Academic Evaluation by Aristotle University of Thessaloniki – Greece
- Department of Labour Inspection – Ministry of Labour – Republic of Cyprus
- Health and Safety Executive (H.S.E.) – Regulations 1981 – United Kingdom
Through the international network of RTI Instructors and RTI Training Centers, specialized and certified Workplace First Aid training is provided to businesses and industries worldwide.
Workplace Safety – Greece
According to Law 5239/2025, Article 39, paragraph δβ):
Every business employing more than fifty (50) workers at one site must provide, through courses conducted by certified First Aid training organizations, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and choking response (Heimlich maneuver) training to at least half of the employees at that site every three (3) years.
The following specially designed training programs are recommended:
- Emergency First Aid at Work – GR
- Emergency First Aid at Work (+) – GR (includes Automated External Defibrillator)
Workplace Safety – Cyprus
According to the 2009 Regulations on Safety and Health at Work, it is required that first aiders receive Workplace First Aid training and hold a valid certificate issued by an Approved First Aid Training Provider.
The training consists of two training programs:
The employer, taking into account the relevant factors, determines in which of the above programs each designated first aider should be trained.
Workplace Safety – United Kingdom
According to the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) guidelines under the 1981 Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations, every workplace must have at least one trained first aider on site.
