Workplace First Aid

Rescue Training International is an authorized training provider for first aid at work training from the Department of Labour Inspection of the Ministry of Labour and Social Insurance of Cyprus.

It is also an approved first aid at work training provider, by the First Aid Industry Body of Great Britain. as directed under the supervision of Health and Safety Executive of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

Taking into account the relevant provisions and national laws regarding to Health and Safety at Work (First Aid at Work) for Great Britain, Greece & Cyprus, we provide high quality training in first aid to businesses and industries in Great Britain, Greece, Cyprus as well as in the rest of Europe.

Safety at Work in Great Britain

According to the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) directions under the regulations of 1981 for Safety (First Aid) in the workplaces, any working place needs at least one first aider on site.

Safety at work – Greece

According to the law No 3850 of 28.05.2010 pursuant to Article 76 paragraph 7 of the Constitution of Greece’s “CODE FOR THE HEALTH AND SAFETY OF WORKERS ‘and in accordance with Article 45 of this Act:

All employees of the private and public sector will have to attend seminars, trainings and regularly updated on matters relating to first aid.

Pursuant to paragraph 1, the employer should, inter alia, provides workers who are responsible for the implementation of measures for first aid, fire safety and evacuation sites by employees. These employees should have received appropriate training, be sufficient in number and be made available to appropriate material depending on the size and the specific risks of the operation and installation.

Safety at Work – Cyprus

The subjects first aid in workplaces regulated by the Safety and Health at Work (First Aid) Regulations 2009. The provisions of the above Regulations come into full force on May 15, 2010.

The above Regulations require that the first assistant should be trained in First Aid at Work providing and hold a valid certificate from an approved First Aid at Work Training Provider. Training in First Aid at Work includes 2 different training programs. The 18 hours “First Aid at Work” training program and the 6 hours “Emergency First Aid at Work” training program

The employer taking into account the factors mentioned, determines which of the above programs will be trained any first assistant.

Having studied and found a serious lack of knowledge in first aid at work and especially appealing to the public employees, offers courses in first aid work, all employees of private and public entity.

By providing the specially designed programs “First Aid at Work” and “Emergency First Aid at Work”, we are able to provide customized training even for the limited time available to large businesses.

Education Subsidy – Greece

The First Aid at Work training program can be conducted with the use of the subsidy for the workforce training – L.A.E.K. 0.45% of OAED

Education Grant – Cyprus

The First Aid at Work Training can also be granted by the Authority of Human Resource Development (A.H.D.) in Cyprus.
